Reports to Director of Special Education & Special Services and Building Principal Qualifications/Requirements EIPA Certified, Elementary Endorsed, score of 4.
0 preferred; or recognized certification with LARA High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with ITP program preferred Will demonstrate a command of both written and oral English including correct syntax, semantics and spelling Ability to communicate and work well with students, staff and parents Highly Organized Job Duties Knowledge of grade level curriculum as it pertains to the level of the student for whom he/she will be interpreting; including reviewing and become familiar with content and vocabulary of the class to be interpreted including use of technical signs and spelling of terminology used Maintaining appropriate logistic/physical considerations for quality interpreting, including lighting, dress, positioning, punctual attendance; etc.
Interpreting the total class environment or activity to maximize the student's opportunities to obtain all information and communication; including specials, lunch and recess as determined by school team Acting as a member of the educational team by collaborating with the classroom teacher(s) of the deaf/hard of hearing with input relative to the student's use of the interpreter in the general education classroom, participating in team meetings as requested Maintaining the integrity of the oral or sign philosophy/systems designated by the program for use as it meets each student's need Ability to interpret figures and percentages, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instruction modalities including written, oral, diagram, video or schedule form Work as a member of an instructional team that includes teachers, itinerants, and administrative staff Assist with the preparation of instructional materials Maintain confidentiality of student information as appropriate Maintain strict level of confidentiality Other related duties as assigned Compensation $28.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
