Summary:
This hands-on position will be overseeing all aspects of supply chain and shipping & assembly management of a small, but fast paced company supplying institutional volleyball, basketball, and other sports equipment to dealers and direct customers.
This includes planning seasonal inventory purchases, issuing purchasing orders to outside vendors for inventory supply, and managing a small shipping and assembly team (1) while providing specific compliance experience to the entire team.
Job Duties:
Motivate and supervise shipping and assembly employees (1).
Evaluate the performance of your assigned employees, delivering positive and/or negative feedback, and addressing any shortcomings.
Overseeing inventory needs and undertaking office management and administration.
Designing and implementing departmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Improving the work environment and operations of your department and the organization.
Work closely with Customer Service and Sales team to ensure a smooth customer experience and on time deliveries.
Secure supply chain by using Microsoft Dynamics for planning, creating BOMS etc.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
Issuing Purchase Orders to outside vendors and tracking them for timely delivery.
Controlling manufacturing and delivery processes.
Plan and implement a logistical strategy to meet your target.
Overseeing product storage, handling, and distribution.
Managing costs while maintaining quality.
Establish new and ongoing relationships with suppliers.
Manage and minimize risks that may affect or disrupt supply chain such as repetitional or operational.
All aspects of inventory control.
Requirements:
A bachelor's or associate degree in operations management, business management, business administration, or supply chain management.
Proven work experience in relevant department.
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in ERP use and implementation.
Experience in implementing operational processes.
Reports Directly to:
Managing Director of Schelde Sports North America.
